WHOLE sunflower seeds are suitable for growing sunflower sprouts. A few tips for successful cultivation in a tiered germinator:
– Use only one germination tray, and leave the watering lid aside after each use.
– Spread the seeds fairly tightly in a thin layer on the germinator tray. The seeds must be able to “warm up” with each other, particularly at start-up. The recommended dosage is usually 2 tablespoons of seeds.
– Sunflower seeds particularly appreciate heat (21-22°C minimum in the room), as well as light for photosynthesis to take place.
– In summer, sunflower seeds may appreciate additional watering by humidification (using a spray), in addition to the 2 daily waterings.
Ingredients: 100% seeds to germinate whole sunflower (Helianthus annuus), from organic farming.
Origin of the seeds: France.
Bag of 100g.
To be eaten in raw shoots of about 4 to 5 cm, to eat as an aperitif, on salads and raw vegetables, or in soups, in your omelettes, waffles, pancakes, or pesto sauces to replace pine nuts. To vary the pleasures, add thin shoots of sunflower to your potato gratins.
Before consuming your shoots, remove the black pods that may be attached to the leaflets ( by hand, this is done very well ), and cut the roots.
Your sprouted seeds will be better fresh. If you do not consume them immediately, keep them for a few days in your refrigerator, preferably in a closed container with cling film.
