Germline

Leek to sprout
The pronounced flavor, close to that of onion, and the “neon yellow” color of the leek sprouts will pleasantly spice up your dishes.

Recommended sprouter: Germ’line tiered sprouter, following the instructions supplied with the sprouter.

Level of ease: with a little know-how. Leek seed can be more delicate and take longer to germinate than some other seeds that are known to be easy. Indeed, it has a very hard bark that it is advisable to soften before germination. To do this, perform several successive rinses, over a dozen hours in hot water (35 to 40°C).

Soaking time: 12 hours.
Germination period: 10 to 15 days.

Ingredients: 100% leek sprouting seeds (Allium porrum), from organic farming.

Origin of seeds: Italy.

Bag of 50g.

To be eaten in raw shoots of 3 to 4 cm, in small quantities because of its pronounced taste, on raw vegetables, in soups or pasta.

Thoroughly wash the sprouted seeds to remove the envelopes, before consuming them.

Your sprouted seeds will be better fresh. If you do not consume them immediately, keep them for a few days in your refrigerator, preferably in a closed container with cling film.
